Mexican Antipasta

This is another recipe from my childhood. I can still remember the first time my mom made this. It was for a grey cup party. I tried it and loved how it tasted but since we had guests I didn't eat too much so that everyone could have some. Once the party was over I dug into what remainded and finished it off.

I tend to make this for most parties because I still want to finish off the leftovers (if there are any) once the party is over.

Ingredients

  • 1 pkg cream cheese
  • 250 g sour cream
  • 2 tsp garlic powder

  • 1 jar (250 g) green olives, drained
  • 1 can (250 g) black olives, drained
  • 1 can (? g) green chilies, drained
  • bacon bits
  • 1 bunch green onions (thinly sliced)
  • 1 jar taco sauce
  • shredded cheese (cheddar or tex mex)

Directions

In a 9" deep dish pie plate put the first 3 ingredients and use a hand blender to mix then spead evenly in the plate.

In a separate bowl add the olives and chilies then chop finely or use a hand blender to mix them together. After they are blended, add to the pie plate and spread as the 2nd layer

Spread bacon bits over the top

Chop green onions and then sprinkle over the top

Spread taco sauce as the next layer in the pie plate

Add shredded cheese as the last layer.

Chill until ready to serve. Serve with nacho chips
